ETHIOPIA

IOM’s Camp Coordination & Camp Management (CCCM) Programme in Ethiopia serves displacement-affected communities in three main types of settings: 1) collective centres, 2) planned sites, 3) dispersed settlements. Currently, IOM’s CCCM Programme has been covering 58 IDP sites in Tigray, Oromia, SNNP, and Somali Regions, reaching a total of 174,433 direct beneficiaries.

IOM CCCM supports government Site Management focal points (primarily Disaster Risk Management Officials) to improve living conditions and access to services for affected populations through: Coordination & Information Management; Site Planning, Development, Maintenance, and Improvement; Community Participation/Self-Governance and Capacity Building. IOM CCCM has also recently launched Area Based Approach (ABA) in Ethiopia to reach IDPs residing outside of camps, often with the host communities.

IOM CCCM runs a Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM) in all IDP sites and ABA Catchment Areas (Kebeles) through the Zite Manager app and website where IOM works as a Camp Management Agency (CMA). The CFM data presented in this dashboard is derived from IOM CCCM intervening sites and catchment areas in Somali, Tigray, SNNP and Oromia Regions.
